This course is aimed at persons who are already in possession of a valid OFA CertificateContent
A comprehensive skills and cognitive review of each lesson will be carried outModule 1: First Aid in the Workplace
Module 2: Patient Assessment
Module 3: Respiratory Emergencies
Module 4: Cardiac First Response (including Defibrillation)
Module 5: Wounds & Bleeding
Module 6: Altered Level of Consciousness
Module 7: Musculoskeletal Injuries
Module 8: Burns/Scalds Chemicals & Electric Shock
Candidates will also be trained and certified in Automated External Defibrillation and in the administration of aspirin as required under the new syllabus

8 hours FETAC Occupational First Aid Standard (effective from 1st Septmeber 2008)Instructor
The course instructor will be an experienced Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedic who will have been assessed by the appropriate authorities and who’s name will appear on the registrar of Occupational first aid Instructors assessedCertification
Successful candidates will receive a FETAC Level 5 OFA Certificate
